Eligibility: It’s open for all.

Hi,
We had participated in the hyderabad open quiz. I’ve one comment to make. In all the quizzes i’ve been to, nowhere has it happned that the cut-off marks haven’t been declared for qualifying for the final round. We asked the organizers there, and they said that this inforamtion cannot be divulged!!! I don’t understand what harm will it do, if you simply announce the cut-off. Atleast it will let the other teams know how far off were they from making it to the final round.

@ Siddharth – Contrary to your experience in various quizzes, I have never been to a quiz where they announce the cut-off.
We always had to ask the team qualifying last to know what the cut-off actually was and where we stand.
The reason cut-off scores are not announced in a live quiz are there might be unnecessary delays by some participating teams cribbing and disputing the decision of correcting team regarding their scores and to get on with the event. Hence “this information cannot be divulged!!!”
